Cloudy is a handsome blue merle Great Dane. He is estimated to be a little over a year old. He is neutered, current on all vaccinations and on HW prev. He is very loving and playful. Like most Danes, he loves people and getting attention. He has had some training, but being a big stubborn puppy, he could use some more work and socialization.
Cloudy is definitely an inside family pet. He is fully house broken and he uses a doggie door. He loves laying on the couch with as many pillows under him as possible. He will sit on your lap if you let him, and he truly thinks that he is a tiny baby suitable for cradling. He walks beautifully on a leash, until he sees another dog. Then, he freezes and often starts to buck up and down in an attempt to go play with the other dog. He has strong interest in smaller dogs, which is probably due to his prey drive. Definitely need to work on that.
Cloudy is still very much a puppy, so doggy proofing is a necessity. He especially likes to chew up magazines, books and remote controls. He loves chew toys and playing tug-of-war. He is great around kids, but due to his size and his extreme ignorance about his size and strength, we cannot place him in a home with little kids under 8 years of age. He has a lot of energy, so must be in a home with a large yard where he could run and play.
